Windows can, and should be the focal point of any room. Before you make the all important decisions on your window treatments, INTERIORS by Decorating Den suggests you consider each room’s size. It’s vitally important that your treatments be “on scale” with the size of your room.
In a large room with small windows, try extending your window treatment beyond the window – perhaps even covering the entire wall. This will make your windows appear more “scale” proportionate to your room. Conversely, in a small room, try keeping your treatments simpler in style, and you’ll find your room will tend to appear larger.
