The ABC’s of Decorating…K is for Kid’s Rooms!

Nothing can be more fun – or sometimes – more challenging then decorating Kid’s rooms! And often, one of the most frequently made mistakes you can make when you begin this project is not involving your child! Their decorating and color opinions – within reason of course – should really be taken into consideration! After all, if your child truly loves his or her new room, perhaps, they just might take better care of their surroundings! We can hope..right!?

And, since a picture is worth a thousand words, here are some GREAT children’s rooms to spark your imagination!

With a monkey hanging from the ceiling, and a giraffe looking on, this classic child’s nursery had just the right whimsical spark!

Apple green walls set the stage for this fun “circle” multi colored fabric – used in the bedding and accent pillows. Notice the coordinating striped canopy valance over the upholstered window seat. A clever window valance design, and the perfect compliment for this wonderful bedroom design!

Created just for them, these wonderful nautical inspired twin beds set the stage for a blue, white and red color scheme. Storage isn’t a problem in this room, as drawers are conveniently located in the beds….”below deck”
